Hi! My name is Katie and I am the owner of Dixieland Sweets.


I live underneath a blanket of stars in Huntsville, AL with my husband and three children: two girls, one boy.  I was born and raised in Texas and I would be lying to you all if I didn't admit that it still holds a really big piece of my heart. But, I have lived in Alabama long enough now to say.. "Dixieland Delight and Roll Tide Forever."


I was first introduced to decorating cookies while in college by a friend. From that night on, I was hooked. I began quickly making cookies and practicing every chance I could. What started out as a hobby quickly became a small business and that is all thanks to people who have supported me over the years. Decorating cookies isn't just a business to me, though, it is a part of who I am. I have taken breaks over the years to have babies and spend time with my growing family, but cookies are a part of my soul. My favorite part is the joy that my cookies have brought to my family, friends and my customers.
